Mozilla announced their first realease of the Fennec mobile web browser. The browser for Windows mobile is currently available for download and can only be installed on a HTC Touch Pro. You can expect some bugs because it’s a pre-alpha release.

Google released Google Sync to instantly coordinate your Google Calendar and Contacts to your Iphone or Windows Mobile.

Google Sync uses a Microsoft Exchange server to keep all of your contact and calendar data in sync over the air. If you’ve added a new calendar appointment from your desktop, Google Sync will push the update to your phone. Likewise, changes you make from your phone are automatically synced to your Google account in the cloud.

Google relaeased his Google Latitude, an update to their Mobile Maps application which allows you to share your location with all your friends. Available for Android devices, G1 users in the US will be receiving Maps v3.0 in a system update soon. Since not everybody is using a G1, Google Latitude will alse be available for Windows Mobile 5.0 and more, Symbian S60 handsets and most BlackBerry smartphones. Versions for the iPhone, iPod touch and Sony Ericsson handsets will be brought to you soon.
