Nikon released a new lens specially made for entering DX cameras. The AF-S DX lens has a f/1.8 and a 35mm focal lenght. The price makes this high-sensitive-for-light lens very attractive: $200. The lens is is scheduled to be available in March, 2009.

Panasonic announced that it will renew their P&S-line.

The most interesting camera is the The FX580 with his 3-inch touchscreen and 720p HD video capability.
Other features: 12.1 megapixel, 5x optical zoom by Leica (28mm), upto ISO 6400 and a standard stable of antishake and facial recognition. Price: $400

The ZS3 and ZS1 have less capabilities but are fairly good camera’s. Altough they have no touchscreen, they still have 12x optical zoom and quite the same specifications to the FX580. The only thing is that they have only 10.1 megapixels. Price: ZS3 - $400, ZS1 - $300

The Pentax K1000 was one of my favourite anologe cameras of the Pentax-line. His digital brother, the Pentax K2000, seems te have the same quality. A camera smaller than a cigar and weighing less than a cigarette lighter. The Minox DSC (Digital Spy Cam) is very small but still has a resolution of 5 million pixels. In early ages it used to use a 8 x 11 mm film format but now it has the same features as a normal digital camera. Ideal to shoot pictures when you want to spy.
